Job Title: Claims Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Manager to join our team at Grange Insurance Association. As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for leading the compliance, training, and subrogation practices within our Claims department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Training: Develop and implement effective compliance and training programs to ensure that our claims staff are equipped to handle complex claims and adhere to company guidelines.
  • Subrogation: Directly supervise and coordinate the activities for subrogation, ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Departmental Audits: Coordinate departmental audits to ensure that our claims department is operating in compliance with company guidelines and industry standards.
  • Results-Based Action Plans: Collaborate with the team to develop and execute results-based action plans to improve claims handling and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Claims Background: Extensive claims background in either Personal Lines or Commercial Lines.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university required or five plus years successful claim supervisory/management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent grammatical and writing skills, excellent listening and communication skills, excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities, ability to relate well to people and work in a team environment, ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at any one time, ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents.

Benefits:

  • Salary: $72,933 - $102,723 annual salary.
