We are seeking a passionate leader for our Adjudication teams to deliver an outstanding member experience unmatched in the industry The Manager, Claims Adjudication will be responsible for supervising the claims process from the time a claim is opened through its completion. You will support the adjudication of claims through innovation and reimagining of processes, including integration of automation. This position has ownership of reviewing questions related to critical decisions and claim authorizations. In addition to supporting and focusing on the development of the Fast Track Claims and Claims Adjudication Specialist Teams, Managers must collaborate with other departments and peers across international time zones.

The set schedule for this position is Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM PDT to 7:00 PM PDT. Committing to this schedule is a requirement for this position.

What you will do:

  • Performance reviews and strategy development based upon department and individual metrics with the team along with participation in hiring, interviews, onboarding of team members, and separation as needed.
  • Review and investigate sensitive policies with strong veterinary medical knowledge.
  • On-call when needed for an overnight, weekends, and holidays for critical claim coverage to support our members outside of traditional working hours
  • Encouraging effective working relationships with key internal business partners across the organization to build an environment of knowledge sharing.
  • Project management, including problem and solution identification, resource gathering and allocation, data collection for impact analysis, timeline development, the achievement of benchmarks, change management, and results in measurement.

Experience you have:

  • 2+ years of prior leadership or mentorship experience
  • The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of veterinary medical terminology and medical conditions
  • 3+ years working in a veterinary clinic environment

  • Exceptional understanding of veterinary medical terminology and medical conditions with a high proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Collaborative, open-minded, curious, genuine, and self-disciplined

Compensation:

  • The annual salary for this position is $70,000 USD on a full-time schedule.
  • Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
  • We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion's success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
