Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled People and Culture Specialist to support the implementation of programs and champion our company culture. The ideal candidate will have credible knowledge in HR excellence and be responsible for leading various P&C functions, including onboarding, talent management, employee relations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads onboarding activities and facilitates the new hire experience for the Milhouse Family of Companies.
  • Implements programs to achieve business goals, desired culture, and overall team member experience.
  • Leads contact for immigration concerns and processing.
  • Coordinates and administers employee relations activities and serves as a partner or credible resource to inquiries into the People and Culture team.
  • Builts and maintains relationships collaboratively within the organization by providing high-level customer service and value-added support.
  • Supports performance management cycles.
  • Maintains employee records and ensures all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Performs as a people champion and culture brand ambassador in partnership with P&C leadership to support communications reflective of the company's cultural identity.
  • Supports internal and external audit requests.
  • Prepares various ad hoc reports and supports ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically Excel (V-looks, pivot tables).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to interpret and manage various project accounting data and documents.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
  • Knowledge in Deltek VantagePoint software or other ERP software.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations and laws (multi-state preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field and/or relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR roles.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

The actual base pay depends upon many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
