Work Environment
  • Fast-paced setting requiring adaptability.
  • Position involves direct interaction with guests while stationed at the front desk.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force and frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
Work Schedule
  • Flexibility to work various days, including weekends and holidays.
  • Availability for different shifts, including days, nights, and overnights.
  • Extended shifts of ten to twelve hours may be necessary.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a hotel setting is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet and assist guests with professionalism.
  • Register guests, confirm reservations, issue room keys, and provide information about hotel amenities.
  • Oversee front desk operations to ensure efficient check-in and check-out.
  • Process payments, manage miscellaneous charges, and deliver final bills to guests promptly.
  • Control and manage guest safe-deposit boxes.
  • Ensure the security of cash, credit transactions, and guest information.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel policies, room rates, discounts, and local events.
  • Book reservations for guests and manage cancellations or modifications as needed.
  • Promote room upgrades to enhance revenue opportunities.
  • Direct guests to appropriate hotel staff for assistance with various requests.
  • Handle guest requests with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong verbal communication abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, especially in challenging situations.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Opera systems is advantageous.
  • Commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction.
