POSITION OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of this role is to execute clerical and administrative functions that enhance the efficient and effective operation of the office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Execute a variety of clerical tasks to assist supervisory and administrative staff in managing daily operations.

2. Address, investigate, and respond to inquiries from stakeholders, including parents, students, and staff, as necessary.


3. Uphold and promote outstanding customer service by welcoming students, parents, staff, and visitors courteously, striving to resolve issues effectively.

4. Draft and refine correspondence, reports, manuals, and other documentation on general or specialized topics.

5. Compose and edit standard correspondence, including forms, memoranda, and reports. Prepare acknowledgments and other communications on behalf of the supervisor.

6. Review and verify data and reports for accuracy and completeness.

7. Follow up with relevant individuals to address and resolve issues.

8. Maintain organized and accurate records of correspondence and business documents.

9. Manage incoming calls, providing assistance and directing inquiries appropriately. Welcome and assist visitors as needed.

10. Coordinate meetings, conferences, and business travel arrangements.

11. Maintain data, statistics, and other information, preparing reports as required.

12. Support efficient office operations by providing clerical assistance as needed.

13. Interact effectively with the public, staff, students, and administrators, exercising tact and sound judgment.

14. Operate standard office equipment as required.


15. Ensure compliance with equal employment and non-discrimination policies.

16. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and proficiency related to job responsibilities.

17. Stay informed on current developments and technical resources relevant to the position.

18. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

19. Comply with federal and state regulations, as well as organizational policies.

20. Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1. Standard high school diploma or completion of an approved GED program.

2. A minimum of three (3) years of clerical experience within the last five (5) years.

3. Familiarity with clerical practices and procedures, including filing and telephone operations.

4. Proficient in using office machinery and equipment, including computers, fax machines, and printers.

5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

7. Computer proficiency as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

1. Previous clerical experience with Best of Dade County.

2. Bilingual skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Light Work:

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
