UWST Building Resources Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Family Support Services Coordinator to join our team at the Tampa Housing Authority. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing supportive services to families eligible for program services, conducting individual assessments, and connecting families to community-based agencies.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the development and coordination of all functions associated with the Department of Program and Property Services.
- Plan and organize comprehensive programs to promote academic, social, and parent engagement services and activities for the population of focus.
- Identify and provide supportive services to families eligible for program services.
- Conduct individual assessments to determine eligibility.
- Connect families to community-based agencies that provide ACEs outreach and education.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of program activities that are culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate for families.
- Assist with the development of program services that will be efficient and effective in collaboration with community providers offering services to the population of focus.
- Coordinate service fairs, workshops, and related activities associated with the assigned project.
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings to receive coaching and counseling on program services and quality assurance of related areas.
- Provide documentation of program services and activities for input into the appropriate database.
- Provide safe driving with adherence to all DMV road and vehicle requirements.
- Provide outreach, education, and coordination of all associated EITC activities, including collaborating with community partners, surrounding communities, and all public housing developments.
- Assist with the development and distribution of outreach and marketing materials.
- Assist with the development and incorporation into the annual Calendar of Events recruitment strategies that specifically target families.
- Engage program participants through workshops, meetings, advertisements, direct mail, and other marketing campaigns for participation.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices involving families, special projects, and program services.
- Ability to prepare clear, concise reports.
- Ability to use basic office equipment, such as a telephone, fax, copier, and computer.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Knowledge of Tampa Housing Authority Policies and Procedures, including those related to medical, disciplinary, and the State of Florida Regulations governing Child Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation.
Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate's Degree is required, plus one year of experience in working with youth, community collaborations, communications, and outreach. A Bachelor's degree is preferred in Education, Social Services, Psychology, or a closely related field. A valid Florida Driver's License is required, and the candidate must be able to be insured under the agency's insurance policy. Level II Background Clearance is also required.
