Job Title: Streetlighting Equipment Operator

As a Streetlighting Equipment Operator with Utilities Service Co Inc, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining streetlights and related equipment. This role requires working from aerial devices and ladders, and you must be able to safely enter and exit the aerial device and rear-end of the bucket and derrick trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various tools for the work, including manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, come-alongs, and handling equipment.
  • Clear work areas and maintain safe job site conditions, assisting with work and material assembly from the ground.
  • Excavate to assist in the installation of structures or cables as required by contract specifications.
  • Communicate with public and private property owners to inform them of the work to be performed.
  • Be exposed to traffic and may be required to have training on traffic flagging.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Able to meet and maintain weight restrictions for bucket trucks as identified by the truck manufacturer.
  • Work long hours and overtime, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call-out work.
  • Work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
  • Work efficiently and effectively while working at heights.
