Requisitos Mínimos:


Título de maestría en un campo relacionado, Certificación o elegibilidad para el Certificado de Competencia Clínica en Patología del Habla-Lenguaje de la Asociación Americana de Patología del Habla-Lenguaje y Audición, y Licencia o elegibilidad para la Licencia de Patología del Habla del Consejo Estatal de Examinadores de Patología del Habla-Lenguaje y Audiología de Texas.


Resumen del Trabajo:


Proporcionar habilidades profesionales en la evaluación integral de pacientes con discapacidades del habla y el lenguaje, así como ofrecer servicios de tratamiento habilitador y rehabilitador.


Funciones del Trabajo:


Nuestro programa de Patología del Habla incluye los siguientes servicios en entornos de atención aguda y clínicas ambulatorias: Evaluaciones de alimentación para adultos, bebés y niños pequeños, estudios de deglución con bario modificado para pediátricos y adultos, evaluación endoscópica de la deglución, videostroboscopia y tratamiento de la voz, evaluación de pacientes dependientes de traqueostomía y ventilador, rehabilitación del habla para pacientes con cáncer de cabeza y cuello, así como evaluaciones de habla, lenguaje y cognición-lingüística.

Otras oportunidades incluyen la enseñanza a estudiantes de medicina, residentes y supervisión de becarios clínicos.

Calificaciones Preferidas:


Experiencia previa en evaluación y tratamiento de la voz, preferiblemente con experiencia en evaluación y tratamiento de disfagia, aunque no es necesaria.


Rango Salarial:

Commensurable con la experiencia.
