Job Overview

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for the professional practice related to communication and swallowing disorders. The SLP conducts personalized assessments, develops treatment strategies, and provides education and training for families and staff to address the communication and swallowing requirements of patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts assessments, formulates treatment plans, and implements interventions to address the cognitive, communication, and swallowing needs of patients.
  • Collaborates with patients, families, care management, and community resources to create effective discharge plans.
  • Ensures compliance and supports risk management initiatives through meticulous documentation.
  • The ideal candidate will have opportunities for professional growth by engaging with diverse cases including burns, orthopedic conditions, acute care, outpatient services, and program development.
Qualifications

Education

A Master's degree in Speech Pathology is required.

Certification/Licensure

Must be licensed in the state of practice.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC's) is mandatory.

Skills

Preferred experience of at least 1 year in a pediatric environment.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Compensation is determined based on relevant experience and departmental equity, typically ranging from $75,000 to $110,000.
