Position Overview:
The ASM Global team is seeking a dedicated Assistant to the Food & Beverage Catering Manager. This part-time role is situated within our Food and Beverage division and plays a crucial part in ensuring seamless catering and banquet operations.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Catering Services Assistant, you will:

  • Guarantee client satisfaction by meticulously checking food quality, room arrangements, and timely service during events.
  • Support the Catering Manager in overseeing catering personnel to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in addressing any client inquiries or issues that may arise before or during events.
  • Help in the development and management of staffing plans for various catered functions.
  • Participate in training catering staff to meet the established standards for service excellence and compliance with HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all beverage services during events.
  • Contribute to the preparation and distribution of banquet event orders across relevant departments.
  • Assist in processing banquet event orders, tracking modifications, client requests, and special requirements.
  • Monitor all catering events from inception to completion to ensure quality and satisfaction.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of two to four years of experience in hospitality management within a catering context, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in Food & Beverage operations.
  • The ability to successfully pass background and reference checks.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills, along with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

This position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in addition to standard business hours.
