Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the screening and evaluation of patients to identify their needs and develop effective treatment plans.
Implement treatment plans and deliver care to patients in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Provide direct supervision to Rehab Aides and ensure they are utilizing resources effectively and developing clinical skills.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, patients, and families, and contribute to a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Requirements:
Graduate of an APTA accredited school for Physical Therapist Assistants.
Valid state license (where appropriate).
Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:
Travel between facilities during scheduled hours.
Work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Rehabilitation Director.
Maintain confidentiality of Lagniappe Rehabilitation, facility, and patient information.

Physical Demands:
Patient lifting using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the work day/shift.
Capable of easily lifting 50 pounds of dead weight alone.
To walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
Visual, auditory, and speaking skills sufficient to evaluate, diagnose, communicate, and monitor patient needs.
Fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing and keystroking for charting, scheduling, daily correspondence, and reports.
Fine motor skills for handling of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
Sustain activity for multiple consecutive hours in accordance with state labor laws.
