The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the daily performance of a designated group of suppliers, ensuring a seamless flow of materials to meet established customer service standards. This role is integral to our operations across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of planning, inventory management, delivery logistics, and lead times to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to achieve or surpass delivery targets.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement-related master data to support accurate MRP planning and ensure optimal order fulfillment.
- Hold suppliers accountable for their commitments and facilitate production planning.
- Conduct regular meetings to review forecasts, open purchase orders, quality metrics, and any factors affecting supplier performance.
- Utilize business tools such as SAP and PH Connect to fulfill job responsibilities efficiently.
- Implement processes to guarantee the delivery of quality products to meet customer demands, including managing product change notices and discrepancies.
- Exhibit initiative to meet or exceed performance metrics related to supplier delivery, inventory management, and MRP exceptions.
- Occasional travel may be required as necessary.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong cooperation skills and a positive work attitude.
- Dependability with a track record of good attendance and punctuality.
- Proactive approach to job responsibilities.
- Effective decision-making skills within job authority.
- 1-2 years of experience in operations, supply chain, purchasing, or a related field.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related discipline.
- Experience in supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with SAP, particularly the MM module.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
