Job Overview

LMI Consulting, LLC is seeking a Logistics Specialist to enhance supply and demand efficiency in support of weapon system maintenance. This role encompasses both physical and digital inventory management, including stock control and auditing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee projects focused on logistics strategy, resource allocation, material management, supply chain sustainability, and procurement processes within federal entities.
  • Guide a small team in executing data collection, analysis, reporting, and other technical support tasks.
  • Conduct research on current and emerging logistics and supply chain methodologies to aid in capability development.
  • Examine various customer data sets and formulate strategies to enhance material and equipment readiness.
  • Perform logistics data analysis utilizing government and proprietary databases, modeling, simulation, and analytical tools.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of client logistics and supply chain policies, procedures, and performance metrics, recommending enhancements as necessary.
  • Engage in tasks related to the development, operation, assessment, and enhancement of weapon systems supportability and maintainability programs.
  • Collaborate with logistics and maintenance control organizations on issues such as logistics support development, systems acquisition analysis, financial oversight, life cycle cost management, and standardization of hardware and software.
  • Possess a working knowledge of GFP Module processing and requirements.
  • Provide administrative and technical writing assistance.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to enhance operational readiness.
  • Communicate program management insights through written reports, presentations, and briefings for government agency leadership.
  • Research topics and prepare materials such as charts, point papers, speeches, and other presentation aids for senior officials.
  • Draft and finalize correspondence, including letters, memoranda, briefings, and reports.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics management, supply chain, aviation maintenance, or a related field, or 10 years of proven experience in logistics and sustainment planning.
  • Experience in acquisition and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and the MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, and the ability to interact effectively with clients at all levels.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing stress while adapting to dynamic work environments.
  • Must be able to work remotely and be available for occasional travel.
  • Applicants must possess a current U.S. Government SECRET clearance or be eligible for one.

Desired:

  • Master's degree in logistics management, supply chain, or related fields, or 15 years of demonstrated experience in logistics and sustainment planning.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Government Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process.
  • Knowledge of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter sustainment.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Risk Management.
  • Applicants currently holding or eligible for Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
