Role Overview

The Manufacturing Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring precise and timely management of various financial processes, including Period Closing, Cost Accounting, Financial Reporting, Performance Analysis, and Annual Budgeting & Quarterly Forecasting. Furthermore, the Regional Controller will guarantee that both Internal and External controls are effectively implemented and maintained while collaborating with all tiers of the Regional Manufacturing team as a strategic partner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Analysis & Management Reporting:
    • Ensure precise cost accounting;
    • Lead initiatives on cost management;
    • Assess local plant financial performance and provide insights to management;
    • Oversee effective management of capital assets;
    • Continuously analyze and report discrepancies in financial outcomes;
  • Period Closing & Reporting:
    • Steer the period closing process;
    • Ensure consistency and quality in reporting;
    • Manage AP/TP-Process;
    • Validate selected balance sheet items (inventory, assets, provisions);
    • Identify and initiate corrective measures such as postings and adjustments;
    • Coordinate with Financial Shared Services Center for inputs;
  • Strategic Planning & Budgeting:
    • Contribute to the Supply Chain North America Strategic Plan;
    • Facilitate the Annual Budget Process;
  • Business Partnership & Project Support:
    • Participate as a member of the Site Leadership Team;
    • Engage with the Manufacturing Controlling network;
    • Support and drive follow-up actions to enhance financial outcomes;
    • Act as a trusted advisor for financial decisions within the manufacturing environment;
    • Provide financial expertise to propel Business Cases;
    • Lead and execute projects;
  • Ensure Accurate Financial Control:
    • Manage External controls (Tax, Government, and Audit Agencies);
    • Oversee Internal controls (MICRs);
  • Financial Forecasting:
    • Guarantee quality in capital forecasting;
    • Conduct quarterly financial forecast processes;
    • Evaluate the fulfillment of business objectives and drive corrective actions;
  • Perform other essential responsibilities as deemed necessary.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required;
  • MBA is preferred;
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing is required;
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel, SAP, Business Warehouse, and Data Warehouse/Database tools is preferred;
