POSITION SUMMARY: This role involves the coordination of human resources functions, encompassing various aspects of employment and employee relations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the implementation of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in alignment with corporate goals and legal standards.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process, offering management insights on hiring decisions.
- Oversee the hiring workflow, which includes conducting background checks, reference verifications, negotiating compensation packages, and preparing job confirmation communications.
- Facilitate employee relations initiatives and programs, including counseling, policy interpretation, onboarding, and recognition efforts.
- Develop strategies to attract qualified candidates through effective job postings, advertising, and participation in recruitment events.
- Conduct exit interviews and relay findings to management for continuous improvement.
- Address inquiries related to organizational processes, policies, and programs.
- Organize ongoing training sessions to enhance employee development and provide support for problem resolution.
- Manage the distribution of key communications, including the Employee Policy Handbook and benefits enrollment information.
- Identify potential employee relations challenges and propose solutions to management.
- Conduct investigations into claims of workplace misconduct or policy violations.
- Assist in the management of workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
- Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiarity with HR laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of California Labor Laws is preferred.
- Experience in recruitment and staffing processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Proven track record of handling various projects and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Good judgment and the ability to make timely, sound decisions.
- Creative, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.
- Commitment to high standards and excellence.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Proficiency in the primary language(s) used in the workplace; bilingual skills are a plus.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent, along with two to four years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Occasional to frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
- Utilization of hand and finger dexterity.
- Effective communication abilities, including talking and hearing.
- Visual acuity for operating equipment and reading technical information.
