POSITION SUMMARY:

This role represents a senior-level engineering position, tasked with ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the engineering systems that underpin essential functions. This is accomplished through the monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all activities related to Project Management, Business Development, and Mentorship. This advanced engineering role necessitates a visible commitment to fostering a corporate culture of ownership and accountability, promoting innovative behaviors that mitigate risks, enhance efficiencies, and drive business growth.

DUTIES:

This position is responsible for overseeing all facets of a project's financials, technical execution, scheduling, and communication (both internal and external), ensuring that projects advance in alignment with established timelines, scopes, and budgets. As seasoned engineers, Senior Project Engineers frequently manage the more intricate and demanding projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Address incoming proposals by conducting research and formulating quotations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to set mutual expectations regarding a program's financials, technical scope, schedule milestones, and communication strategies.
  • Develop and disseminate internal communications that support program objectives.
  • Advocate for our clients, gaining insights that evolve our services to meet their expanding needs.
  • Assess risk mitigation strategies and devise contingency plans for potential events that could adversely affect client services.
  • Compile data and test results into formal reports while analyzing information for accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage project financial responsibilities by reviewing contracts, establishing program budgets, processing invoicing activities, and generating periodic financial summaries and status reports.
  • Oversee the project closure process, ensuring all data has been formally reported and delivered, materials have been dispatched, and invoices processed. Conduct post-program reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the value of our services.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; an advanced degree is advantageous.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a project management or project engineering capacity.
  • Experience in mechanical testing or product management is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to engage with topics requiring specialized knowledge or acute understanding.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of tasks and situations.
  • Standing to sitting ratio is 80/20, respectively.
