Senior Construction Project Leader

Onsite in Cincinnati, OH - (70% travel included)

Position Overview

This role necessitates significant travel across the U.S., particularly for the initial months. Following this period, the travel requirement will decrease as additional team members are integrated to share responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Construction Project Leader, you will be instrumental in steering the development and enhancement of our extensive portfolio of airport parking facilities. Your primary duties will encompass:

  • Overseeing annual repair and maintenance projects, budgets, and new development efforts.
  • Collaborating with a diverse team of consultants, including civil, structural, and MEP engineers, architects, and landscape architects.
  • Ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintaining precise records and documentation of all construction-related activities.
  • Regularly communicating project progress and financials to all stakeholders.

Essential Duties

  • Reviewing shop drawings and submittals, coordinating technical evaluations with engineers and architects.
  • Monitoring contractor work for adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Scheduling and facilitating pre-construction and job meetings, along with preparing meeting minutes.
  • Managing contractor schedules and evaluating pay requests.
  • Creating and managing contractor punch lists and assisting with project close-out processes.
  • Addressing contractor issues related to plan interpretation and coordinating resolution efforts.
  • Ensuring all work aligns with approved budgets and contract terms.
  • Upholding safety standards and guidelines on-site.
  • Simultaneously managing multiple projects across various locations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management, architectural engineering, or civil engineering.
  • Construction Manager certification from recognized institutions is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant construction project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes and methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution and crisis management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Excel, Word, and Project.

Desirable Attributes

Experience with Bluebeam and Procore software is a plus, along with a personal interest in real estate development and airport parking sectors.
