Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex design and analysis tasks for road/highway projects, including vertical and horizontal alignments, cross-section analysis, and super-elevation calculations.
  • Utilize advanced software such as Microstation, InRoads, Open Roads, and Autocad Civil 3D for designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and execute detailed designs, specifications, and procurement/construction materials for various projects.
  • Review supplier drawing submittals and conduct technical bid analyses to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed equipment and material requisitions, and develop and issue specifications and datasheets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant civil road/highway design experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Previous experience with state DOT projects is essential.
  • Proficiency in CAD and other relevant PC software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microstation, Autocad, or Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency in Openroads/InRoads.
  • Prior experience with Ohio DOT projects.
