Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the production of plans for transportation initiatives for ODOT and local authorities using MicroStation/ORD or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Engage with clients including ODOT, local authorities, consulting firms, and contractors.
- Formulate project budgets and timelines.
- Prepare technical and fee proposals.
- Exhibit civil engineering proficiency and software expertise.
- Work collaboratively with internal technical teams and industry colleagues to provide transportation design solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in roadway engineering, particularly with ODOT or local agency projects.
- Expertise in MicroStation/IORD software.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D and additional design tools.
- Knowledge of stormwater drainage design, pavement markings, signage plans, erosion control, and traffic maintenance strategies.
- Experience with drainage software such as HEC-RAS, HY8, StormCAD, and roundabout design.
- Proven experience in leading design teams or mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong computer literacy and communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of the ODOT Cincinnati Design Manual and Standard Specifications.
