Meridian, Idaho, United States Hidden Talent Full time
Job Overview

At Hidden Talent, we pride ourselves on being a cornerstone of financial guidance in the community. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional tax services that empower our clients to navigate their financial landscapes with confidence.

About Us

With over 15 years of experience, our firm has been at the forefront of delivering comprehensive CPA services to a diverse clientele. We are committed to equipping our clients with the necessary tools and knowledge to manage their financial responsibilities effectively. Our mission revolves around fostering financial literacy and delivering innovative solutions that align with our core values: professionalism, responsiveness, and integrity.

Flexible Work Environment

We understand the importance of work-life balance. Our firm operates on a model that allows for fewer annual working hours compared to larger firms, with a maximum of 2,100 hours. This flexibility can be adjusted based on the ideal candidate's preferences and the needs of the business. Recognition and career advancement are based on the quality of work rather than the quantity of hours logged.

The Senior Tax Consultant will oversee a variety of client tax returns and ensure the delivery of high-quality tax services. This position offers the chance to collaborate directly with individuals and business owners on tax-related matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting client interviews to prepare and review intricate tax returns for individuals, corporations, non-profits, trusts, and estates.
  • Managing multiple client tax engagements and executing detailed tax planning.
  • Fostering new and maintaining existing client relationships.
  • Performing tax research and staying informed on current tax legislation.
  • Reviewing and assessing the work of junior staff.
  • Coordinating with various departments to meet clients' accounting needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of advanced tax experience, preferably in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience in preparing and managing a range of individual and business tax returns.
  • Familiarity with tax software applications (CCH ProSystem fx or CCH Axcess preferred).
  • The ability to adhere to time budgets effectively.

Essential Skills

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Collaborative teamwork skills and the ability to follow directives.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • A proactive, dedicated, and self-motivated work ethic.
  • A willingness to accept feedback and pursue continuous learning.
  • A desire to mentor others and share expertise.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • A salary range of $80,000 - $95,000 per year.
  • Performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive medical insurance options.
  • A Simple IRA retirement plan.
  • Health savings account (HSA).
  • Funding for ongoing education.
  • Support for CPA license renewal.
  • Paid holidays and vacation time.
  • Fridays off from April to December.
  • Flexible work schedules (Hybrid).

Additional Perks

We believe in fostering a positive work culture through:

  • Annual family-friendly summer events and holiday celebrations.
  • Team-building activities and appreciation gifts.
  • Catered meals and social gatherings.
