We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner and Operations Manager to join our team at Stryten Energy. As a critical member of the HR team, you will play a key role in enhancing the employee experience by supporting employees through recruitment, new hire onboarding, performance management, benefits, and other HR functions.

About the Role

The HR Business Partner and Operations Manager will provide strategic guidance to site leadership on all HR-related matters, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. You will be responsible for monitoring changes in legislation and implementing updates to stay in compliance. This role also involves leading new employee recruiting and onboarding processes, including pre-screening applications, conducting background checks, and preparing new hire paperwork.

You will engage in the development of hourly employees through training, coaching, and mentoring, facilitating 30, 60, and 90-day reviews, and maintaining accurate employee records. Additionally, you will act as a backup to the Human Resources Manager, exercising discretion and independent judgment in employee-related matters.

Responsibilities
  • Promptly address and manage employee complaints and concerns.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee disputes, gathering evidence through interviews and documentation. Implement corrective actions based on the findings.
  • Provide managers with guidance on appropriate disciplinary actions to ensure consistency and fairness.
  • Responsible for monitoring local, state, and federal laws and regulations for changes that impact the site.
  • Collaborate with HQ HR team to execute changes as needed to stay in compliance.
  • Identify areas of improvement within the HR Function and lead projects to implement new processes.
  • Lead new employee recruiting and onboarding process: Pre-screen applications, request background checks, prepare and process new hire paperwork, conduct new hire orientations, and other related tasks as needed.
  • Engage in the development of hourly employees through training, coaching, and mentoring plant employees for improved performance.
  • Facilitate 30, 60, and 90 day reviews for the hourly operation employees.
  • Act as backup for Human Resources Manager, exercising discretion and independent judgment with employee related matters.
  • Provide support and resources to employees throughout the leave of absence process.
  • Perform entries, updates, and status changes of employee information in the HRIS and timekeeping systems.
  • Support management staff in accomplishing their business goals by assisting with various reports from the HRIS and analytics tools.
  • Maintain attendance records for all hourly employees. Issue and track attendance warnings as required.
  • Own the coordination and execution of employee engagement events and special meetings such as volunteer opportunities and celebrating service anniversaries.
  • Attend meetings as assigned; take, prepare, and post minutes
  • Provide general HR information to all employees based on established practices and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate employee records.
  • Interface directly with all levels of Management and employees.
  • Coordinate with staffing agencies for placement of temporary employees as needed.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks and management support as needed and assigned.
  • Support plant activities such as 5S, LPA's, Gemba and Safety including participating in audits.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study required.
  • 5+ Years Human Resources experience as an administrator or general support.
  • Strong background in all aspects of human resources and experience working in a manufacturing environment at all levels of the organization.

$73,000 - $95,000 per year (dependent on experience).
