Position Overview

The Community Services Counseling branch of The Methodist Home of Kentucky, Inc. is dedicated to providing a Christ-centered approach to healing and support for children and families. Our mission focuses on addressing the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of those we serve.

The primary role of the Community Services Clinician is to deliver therapeutic and clinical behavioral health services tailored to youth and their families. This position requires a commitment to collaboration within a multidisciplinary team framework, as well as a willingness to travel within designated service areas.


Compensation

The contracted rate for this position is $45 per billable hour. Please note that this role is classified as a contract position, and individuals will receive a 1099 form at the end of the year, rather than a W-2. As a contract worker, there will be no tax withholdings or deductions from the agency.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of services including crisis intervention, risk assessment, treatment planning, and intensive outpatient services.
  • Conduct individual, family, group, and collateral therapy sessions, along with appropriate referrals.
  • Supervise and deliver care in accordance with individualized comprehensive treatment plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant directives.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of discipline-specific requirements set forth by the relevant licensing board.
  • Ensure timely renewal of licensure and certification, maintaining eligibility for independent licensure as required.

Qualifications

Education:
A Master's degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work is required. A current Professional License as mandated by Kentucky professional boards (LPCC, LCADC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) is also necessary.

Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in a related field of licensure is expected.

Skills:
Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate professional maturity, respect for others, and the ability to uphold the agency's mission while embracing cultural diversity and teamwork.


Core Competencies
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient clinical documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, particularly EMR systems, is preferred.

Job Specifications

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance. Compliance with background checks and pre-contract drug screening is mandatory. Additionally, candidates must provide and maintain professional liability insurance.
