Overview:


The Quality Assurance Technician plays a crucial role in upholding safety protocols, achieving daily production targets while ensuring compliance with quality standards, conducting routine maintenance, and supporting non-routine maintenance tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to Triple-S safe work practices consistently, promptly notifying supervisors of any hazardous conditions.


Efficiently and safely transport steel materials to and from storage or production zones, loading docks, and delivery vehicles using manual handling, forklifts, overhead cranes, or other machinery.

Utilize slings, hooks, or other lifting devices to maneuver materials and secure loads; climb onto vehicles to secure and release materials during loading operations.

This task is performed continuously throughout the day.

Conduct inspections of output samples employing industry-standard methods, such as benchmarking against specifications, measuring dimensions, and assessing functionality.

Ensure that assembly lines, production processes, and equipment comply with established standards and legal regulations.

Educate the production workforce on quality control practices to enhance product quality.

Enhance job knowledge through participation in training sessions and educational opportunities.

Gather, input, and analyze quality-related data.

Assist in formulating testing methodologies and inspection protocols.

Confirm that all equipment is accurately calibrated.

Label and associate materials with the correct heat numbers and mill certifications.

Maintain measurement tools to ensure precision by adhering to calibration protocols and requesting repairs when necessary.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Ability to accurately interpret work orders and/or receive verbal instructions to ascertain work assignments or material and equipment requirements.

Proficiency in utilizing basic computer software applications.

Exhibit intermediate mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Capability to safely meet or exceed the minimum productivity standards set by the company.

Ability to effectively organize and plan work activities independently, as well as collaborate within a team environment.

Develop a solid understanding of material and inventory management techniques and procedures.

Maintain ongoing communication across departments regarding routing, safety, and customer relations.

Experience with ISO Certification.

Additional duties as assigned.
