Job Title: Non-Employee Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team as a Non-Employee Instructor. This role involves teaching Fox Valley Technical College courses at a local high school, providing students with the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school.

Job Summary:

The Non-Employee Instructor will be responsible for implementing instructional strategies, assisting students with academic matters, and promoting student success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement instructional strategies that align with Fox Valley Technical College's curriculum and standards.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, including assistance with assignments, tests, and grades.
  • Administer skills assessments and evaluate student performance in courses taught by the instructor.
  • Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Comply with health division and dual credit policies, adhering to deadlines outlined on the Dual Credit Academic Calendar.
  • Maintain professional currency and demonstrate a commitment to the college's mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications:
  • Employed as a K-12 teacher within the agreed-upon school district.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in the content area or a Bachelor's of Education.
  • Copy of official college transcripts highlighting related degree awarded and date conferred.
  • High School teachers must hold a current DPI license.
  • Any additional certifications if applicable.
Essential Aptitudes, Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies, including learner-centered instruction, assessment, evaluation, and collaborative techniques.
  • Skilled in the use of educational technology and alternative delivery methods.
  • Knowledge and ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery.
  • Skilled in communications and human relations with populations having diverse socio-economic and racial backgrounds, as well as individuals with disabilities.
  • Skilled in oral and written communications.
