Procurement Specialist

PLX Inc. is a leading provider of innovative optical solutions, with a 65-year heritage of innovation and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team, responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Coordinate the procurement process, including sourcing, bidding, and awarding contracts
  • Monitor and report on procurement metrics, including cost savings and vendor performance
Key Responsibilities
  • Procure goods and services from vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and resolving issues
  • Manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost savings and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement aligns with business objectives
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and vendor management
  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in procurement software a plus
