Maintenance Planner I/E

The Instrument/Electrical Planner position is a dynamic role within the LyondellBasell team, responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance functions at the LaPorte manufacturing site. This position requires diverse instrumentation and electrical (I/E) knowledge to develop planned job packages for I/E repair work and improvement projects based on priorities established by the PMC (Production Maintenance Coordinator).
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers, and promoting a safe work environment.
Responsible for daily planning of work and the creation of equipment task lists for areas of responsibility.
Ensures adherence to the Maintenance and Operations Workflow Process (MOWP).
Works with the Purchasing Group to procure materials and services utilizing Outline Agreements where applicable.
Actively participates in planning and scheduling meetings.
Communicates with FLS (First Line Supervisors), Craft Supervision, Scheduler, Area I/E Specialist, and Production Maintenance Coordinator to solicit feedback on job plans.
Assist in the creation and/or changes of equipment BOM's.
Provides support for any site emergency maintenance issues during off-hours.
Reviews backlog and planner priorities list for duplicates.
Groups notifications together that can be planned and worked as a single order, optimizing utilization of resources.
Ensures plans are in place that meet the timing requirements of the process units.
Checks for understanding of scope through notification text and field walks.
Builds job plans that clearly show special instructions and required skill crafts and duration, specialty tools, equipment, and reserved or crate purchase and requisitioning of third-party services.
Assembles job packages in preparation for job execution.
Utilize previous repair history, condition monitoring data, and personnel feedback to ensure the appropriate scope of work is developed.
Participates in the identification and implementation of reliability-driven improvements.
Ensures critical PM's are planned and released prior to the scheduling date.
Ensures PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) findings, action items, and safety work orders are planned and released prior to scheduling date.
Ensures MOCs (Management of Change) are authorized prior to releasing jobs.
Assures I&E jobs meet the site standards.
Performs monthly reviews on their Planned vs Actual Cost/Hours.
Create job plans utilizing Equipment Task Lists.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an instrument/electrical/analyzer maintenance technician in a petrochemical or refining environment.
Attentive listening, good communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), organization skills, and interpersonal skills.
Committed to quality and safety.
Must be self-motivated and customer-oriented.
Strong computer skills in SAP, Windows applications, and E-mail.
