Job Summary

As a key member of the Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions team, the successful candidate will be responsible for assembling various components, parts, or products within a manufacturing or production environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to follow technical instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Ensure a safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assembly of Components: Read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, or work instructions to assemble components or products according to specifications.
  • Operate Machinery and Tools: Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to perform assembly tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Report and address any defects or issues identified during the assembly process.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on assembly tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, such as engineers, quality control personnel, or supervisors, to ensure smooth production processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly procedures, issues encountered, and steps taken to rectify them for future reference.
Requirements
  • Technical Aptitude: Understanding of mechanical and technical concepts related to assembly processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on intricate tasks and ensure accuracy in assembly work.
  • Problem-Solving: Capacity to identify issues during assembly and apply troubleshooting skills to resolve problems.
  • Time Management: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines.
  • Team Player: Capability to work collaboratively in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication to report issues, follow instructions, and collaborate with team members effectively.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a related field is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Assembly Tools: Familiarity with assembly tools, machinery, and quality control processes.
