Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and integrate industrial-scale metal additive manufacturing machines, including 3D printing systems, post-processing systems, and fiber laser systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including Lead Engineers, Project Managers, Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineers, and Assemblers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Provide regular status updates to management on assigned projects.
  • Build and wire electrical panels under the direction of engineers.
  • Perform testing and evaluations on components, machines, and equipment.
  • Assist with the installation of equipment and machines in production.
  • Read mechanical blueprints to perform assembly duties.
  • Adhere to and support Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of job-related experience, preferably in a machine-building department, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical and pneumatics assemblies.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to read and understand pneumatic drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with high-power fiber optics and laser amplifier assembly methods.
  • Ability to splice fiber optics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience building automated equipment.
  • High precision, close tolerance proficiency.
  • Ability to use all hand tools.
  • Experience with electronics assembly techniques, including wiring, crimping, soldering, and ESD protection.
  • Awareness of design tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in standard and metric systems.
  • Proficiency in M.S. Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
