Position Overview:
The Bioprocess Technician is responsible for adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) while executing commercial manufacturing processes for therapeutic proteins that play a crucial role in modern medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate production machinery within a designated area, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and established procedures.
2. Assist in the revision and creation of process documentation and support investigations related to processes.
3. Gain proficiency in process automation and relevant business systems, as well as the operation of primary production equipment.
4. Manage material and component inventory levels effectively.
5. Conduct weighing and verification of raw materials.
6. Contribute to a safe working environment and engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety.
7. Assemble, clean, and sterilize process components as required.
8. Collaborate on routine manufacturing tasks following written procedures that are moderately complex with minimal guidance.
9. Support the development and revision of process documents, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Batch Records, while assisting with process-related investigations.
Qualifications:
1. A high school diploma is mandatory.
2. Familiarity with scientific principles typically acquired through a certificate program or an Associate's Degree in Biotechnology or a related discipline is preferred.
3. Proven experience in collaborative work environments emphasizing personal accountability, attention to detail, and results.
4. Demonstrated proficiency in standard computer applications and web-based tools.
5. Previous exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations and/or experience in a cleanroom or highly regulated setting is advantageous.
6. The position involves handling hazardous materials; appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn at all times.
