Billing Specialist

Christian Care Communities is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections of account receivables while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and mail invoices to private pay residents and bills Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers for long term care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services.
  • Perform extensive account follow up on unpaid claims using payer websites and portals, as well as phone calls when necessary.
  • Maintain a strict schedule of billing to ensure proper cash flow management.
  • Prepare and submit various reports on a timely basis, as required and directed by the Director of the CBO, CFO, and governmental agencies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to co-workers, clients, and vendors by acting as a subject matter resource in a timely, considerate, and friendly manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 years' billing experience in a medical setting
  • Preferred experience in nonprofit sector, multi-facility healthcare or social service environment, post-acute care billing, reimbursement, and regulatory requirements, including Medicaid and Medicare and third-party payers
