Position Overview: The Right-of-Way Supervisor will oversee and guide a dedicated team of professionals specializing in the acquisition, management, and disposition of easements and permits related to land rights essential for the effective operation and maintenance of the company's infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, Land/Urban Planning, or a related discipline, coupled with a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Transmission & Distribution construction and operational practices. Alternatively, a combination of relevant college coursework and experience totaling eight (8) years in the same field may be considered.

A valid driver's license and the ability to travel statewide are required.

Preferred Skills and Expertise: A solid understanding of public (federal, state, municipal) and private land acquisition processes, as well as land management principles and practices. Strong leadership capabilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written), negotiation expertise, and proficient planning and organizational skills are essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is also preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the research and acquisition efforts for easements and permits necessary for the company's construction and maintenance operations.
  2. Ensure the timely completion of easement and permit requirements by actively monitoring ROW tasks and prerequisites in the scheduling system.
  3. Maintain the integrity of acquired easements and permits through thorough reviews of title reports and public records, addressing any potential issues before acquisition.
  4. Build and nurture a high-performing team through effective coaching, feedback, recognition, and training opportunities.
  5. Keep precise records of ROW easements, franchise agreements, and related billing and payments.
  6. Negotiate and finalize easements and permits in accordance with franchise policies and contractual obligations.
  7. Provide guidance and training on right-of-way requirements to project representatives and planners.
  8. Deliver efficient and cost-effective support services to both internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Monitor and manage expenditures within the unit to ensure responsible use of company resources.
