Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated Appliance Technician Apprentice to become part of our organization. Following your training, you will be tasked with estimating repairs, fixing residential appliances, and processing payments. Technicians will travel to various service locations throughout the day, ensuring each day presents new challenges as we cater to a wide range of appliances. Daily interaction with customers is a vital aspect of this role.

Essential Skills:
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Physically capable of lifting items weighing 75 lbs or more
  • Able to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for extended durations
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and resolve issues
  • Excellent communication abilities to collaborate under diverse conditions
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to convey information swiftly
  • Persuasiveness when interacting with customers, as needed
  • Dependable and self-driven
Knowledge Requirements:

Familiarity with cell phones provided by Tager Appliance Repair is essential. While experience with hand tools and mechanical devices is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

Training:

4-8 weeks of apprenticeship training will be funded by Tager Appliance Repair, with the expectation that the apprentice will obtain certification to transition into a full technician role.

Work Environment:

Must be willing to work after hours on rare occasions, with no weekend commitments. The work setting is fast-paced and results-oriented. A valid driver’s license is required to operate a company vehicle. Candidates must successfully pass a drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record check.

Tools and Equipment:

Hand tools and mechanical tools will be provided. Tager Appliance Repair will supply some specialized equipment for your use, while apprentices are expected to provide basic hand tools.
