Job Overview

Position: Senior Quality Assurance Product Analyst

Location: Remote within designated metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in and facilitate application product and business process evaluation of systems supporting client operations [20% of time allocated to this responsibility].
  2. Assist in the strategizing, organizing, and implementation of significant and minor software releases [5%].
  3. Conduct software testing activities that necessitate analysis, planning, scheduling, and collaboration with diverse technologies, while participating in requirements and design evaluations [15%].
  4. Contribute to the quality assurance and review process from the application design and specification phase through to final deployment [5%].
  5. Collaborate closely with software development teams early in the development cycle (requirements and design phases) to gather testing criteria and minimize critical path delays [15%].
  6. Oversee the comprehensive product testing strategy, including the automation testing framework [5%].
  7. Engage in cross-training across the company’s product portfolio and other supported banking products [5%].
  8. Work in partnership with product owners, project managers, scrum masters, technical teams, and business units on testing initiatives and outcomes [30%].
  9. In relation to the above responsibilities, leverage expertise in software quality assurance or software development within a business software context; automation testing or development of enterprise-level applications; system testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, cross-browser testing, and mobile device compatibility testing in a leadership capacity; software development lifecycle, quality assurance practices and methodologies, prioritizing and managing multiple projects concurrently while adapting to shifting priorities; analyzing and resolving complex issues; adhering to detailed written guidelines; managing intricate challenges and escalating more complex matters to senior staff; effectively communicating and coordinating with all management levels and external vendors; exercising sound judgment, discretion, and maintaining confidentiality; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; analytical reasoning and mathematical competencies; collaborating as part of a team; assisting in the execution of manual and/or automated tests and documenting outcomes; utilizing automation tools and frameworks; supporting the QA Manager or Director in defining, developing, and implementing quality assurance practices, procedures, test plans, and other QA evaluations; executing software testing tasks that require analysis, planning, scheduling, and collaboration with various technologies; participating in requirements and design evaluations; testing and certifying software modifications, enhancements, and new system functionalities; engaging in the software development lifecycle process as outlined by the SDLC Guide; conducting defect triage meetings and ensuring closure of QA/UAT/Production bugs; overseeing the overall product testing strategy, including the automation testing framework; and communicating with product owners, project managers, scrum masters, technical teams, and Business Analysts regarding testing initiatives and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 2 years of experience in the role or 2 years of experience in a related position utilizing expertise in software quality assurance or software development within a business software environment.

Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in the aforementioned fields plus 5 years of progressive experience in a related role will be accepted. Experience may be acquired concurrently. The employer will consider any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
