Position Overview

Targeted Annual Compensation: Minimum of $75,000.00 to a maximum of $85,000.00

ROLE PURPOSE: This position involves the surveying, designing, installation oversight, and commissioning of metering systems and data collection hardware. The role includes supervising contractor activities during various project phases and providing necessary support for the assembly of project components. Responsibilities also encompass system commissioning/start-ups, operational training, and identifying areas for enhancement in existing installations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the commissioning and start-up of utility-grade metering systems.Design and engineer new or modified advanced metering systems tailored to meet client requirements.Evaluate project plans, equipment, and proposed designs to ensure compliance with specifications.Conduct on-site surveys and walkthroughs with operational, contractor, and engineering teams.Perform laboratory testing as necessary for troubleshooting or optimizing processes.Manage multiple projects simultaneously over extended periods.Troubleshoot, inspect, and refurbish existing equipment in the field.Prepare documentation, procedures, internal communications, and reports in a timely manner.Willingness to travel up to 30%, including overnight stays.Proficient in AutoCAD and Visio for drafting purposes.Basic understanding of network troubleshooting.Familiarity with MEP drawings (electrical, mechanical, and plumbing).Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical circuits and the ability to interpret diagrams is essential.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Visio for creating or modifying design documents is required.
  • Experience in implementing and supporting control systems and/or DCS systems is necessary.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, configuration, and support is required.
  • Strong understanding of network communications and operational technology cybersecurity concepts is required.
  • Familiarity with control panel design, wiring, and plant instrumentation is preferred.
  • Experience with databases and SQL queries, as well as PC/server configuration, is a plus.
  • Experience in the energy sector is advantageous.
  • Experience collaborating in an integrated IT/OT environment is beneficial.
