Position Overview
Targeted Annual Compensation: Minimum of $75,000.00 to a maximum of $85,000.00

ROLE OBJECTIVE: To oversee the surveying, design, installation supervision, and commissioning of metering devices and data collection systems. Supervise contractor activities during specific project phases and provide necessary support for the assembly of the scope of supply. Conduct system commissioning/start-ups, offer operation and maintenance training, support existing installations, and identify improvement opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Commissioning and start-up of utility-grade metering devices.Engineering and designing new or modified advanced metering systems to fulfill customer requirements.Reviewing project specifications, equipment, and proposed designs to ensure compliance.Conducting on-site surveys and walkthroughs with operational, contractor, and engineering teams.Performing lab tests as necessary for troubleshooting or optimizing processes.Managing multiple projects over extended periods.Troubleshooting, inspecting, and refurbishing existing equipment in the field.Preparing documentation, procedures, internal communications, and reports promptly.Willingness to travel 30%, including flights and accommodations.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio drafting software.Basic understanding of network troubleshooting.Familiarity with MEP drawings (electrical, mechanical, and plumbing).Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical circuits and the ability to interpret diagrams is essential.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Visio for creating or modifying design documents is required.
- Experience in implementing and supporting control systems and/or DCS systems is necessary.
- Knowledge of PLC programming, configuration, and support is required.
- Strong understanding of network communications and OT cybersecurity concepts is necessary.
- Familiarity with control panel design, wiring, and plant instrumentation is preferred.
- Experience with databases and SQL queries, PC/server configuration, thin client systems, and/or VMware is advantageous.
- Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
- Experience in an integrated IT/OT environment with collaboration with IT personnel is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks/projects and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism is required.
- Able to work within a team environment and interact effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Willingness to stay current with skills and acquire new knowledge to enhance business support.
