Job Title: Team Leader - Santa Maria

Job Summary:

The Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Santa Maria Full Service Partnership (FSP) team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. This role requires strong leadership, clinical, and administrative skills to manage a team of staff, coordinate client services, and maintain program operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the day-to-day administrative operations of the Santa Maria FSP team, including scheduling staff work hours and leading daily organizational staff meetings.
  • Coordinate client admission processes, treatment, rehabilitation, and support services in collaboration with the psychiatrist.
  • Develop and coordinate comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for clients, ensuring timely attention to their changing needs.
  • Supervise and evaluate the multidisciplinary team, providing administrative support and ensuring service excellence.
  • Ensure the program provides culturally competent services to diverse clients and their families.
  • Work effectively with team members who have lived experience with mental health and/or substance abuse.
  • Promote trauma-informed practices and maintain a learning environment.
  • Participate in clinical and administrative meetings, trainings, and collaborations with community partners.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire staff, as well as manage student training and performance supervision.
  • Develop and administer the program budget, ensuring compliance with agency policies and third-party payment requirements.
  • Supervise medical records management, ensuring maintenance of medical records in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
  • Carry out quality-assurance activities and reviews of program services in partnership with the TMHA QA department.
  • Develop and maintain program policies and procedures, revising as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Non-Clinical candidates: Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work with 2 years of experience.
  • Clinical candidates: BBS licensure or registered associate progressing towards licensure, with 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative work style, and excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly, handle intense situations, and maintain a professional attitude.
  • Ability to promote equality, respect, and diversity, and demonstrate knowledge of various dimensions of diversity.

Working Conditions:

This role requires moderate physical activity, frequent driving, and exposure to potentially intense situations. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm and clear-headed demeanor under pressure is essential.
