About the Role

The Enterprise Risk Manager - Technology is a critical position at Apple, responsible for leading a team that develops and coordinates the overall technology risk management framework for the company. This includes performing assessments to identify and manage risks, creating a sustainable technology risk program, and aggregating risk data for submission to management and various committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team in developing and implementing the technology risk management framework, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform risk assessments and identify areas for improvement, providing recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk monitoring program, utilizing information from various sources to report to senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer to develop and execute the enterprise risk management program, including quarterly updates and risk assessments.
  • Provide effective challenge to risk owners, including third-party technology providers, to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead skills development and performance management of ERM team personnel, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Configure and maintain risk inventory layout, workflow, notifications, reporting, access control, and other related systems.
  • Support risk training and education, working with other risk areas to develop and roll out content.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Technology, Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Risk Management, Technology Risk Management, or IT Audit.
  • Risk management experience in a large organization requiring collaboration and partnership at all levels of personnel.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards, privacy laws, and financial regulations, with a solid understanding of US technology and security requirements.
  • Familiarity with risk frameworks and applicable risk governance regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Risk Management, Technology Risk, Operational Risk, IT Audit, or other similar risk consulting or internal control functions.
  • Risk management experience in a complex financial institution and/or highly matrixed environment.
  • Experienced at implementing compliance standards, privacy laws, and financial regulations into technology and business processes, with a primary focus on US, UK, and EU requirements.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing complex risk programs, leading team members and stakeholders on the continued use and management of such programs.
  • Extensive experience fielding audits and regulatory exams.
