Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Revenue Accountant will be responsible for managing revenue arrangements across various operational wind and solar projects. This includes overseeing the preparation of invoices, billing processes, and addressing any invoice disputes. The role demands timely and accurate analytics and reporting, as well as the implementation of any updates to the company's accounting policies.

Essential Duties:

  • Review or create revenue journal entries during the monthly closing process and reconcile all related accounts.
  • Oversee the preparation of invoices for offtakers, including billing adjustments and dispute resolution.
  • Conduct revenue analytics for quarterly and annual financial reporting.
  • Prepare documentation for PBC requests and respond to inquiries from auditing firms.
  • Ensure compliance of revenue processes and controls with internal regulations.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in the preparation and audit of financial statements, along with knowledge of internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead projects or tasks effectively.
  • Experience in the electric energy sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with market operations within an ISO or RTO framework is advantageous.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,000 - $120,000 USD. This range is an estimate, and actual base pay may vary based on several factors, including location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, our compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees at all levels. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, family care benefits, an employee assistance program, paid time off, bonding leave, paid holidays, and a 401(k)/RRSP retirement savings plan with employer contributions.
