Role Purpose
The Lead Revenue Accountant will be responsible for managing revenue arrangements across various operational wind and solar projects. This includes overseeing the preparation of invoices, billing processes, and resolving any disputes related to invoices. The role requires timely and accurate completion of analytics and reporting, as well as the implementation of any new or revised accounting policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the review and preparation of revenue journal entries during the monthly closing process, including reconciliations of all related accounts.
- Manage the preparation of invoices for offtakers, including billing adjustments and dispute resolution.
- Conduct analytics on revenue performance for quarterly and annual financial reporting.
- Prepare documentation for PBC requests and respond to inquiries from auditing firms.
- Ensure compliance of revenue processes and controls with internal regulations.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in the preparation and auditing of financial statements, with a strong understanding of internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead projects or tasks effectively.
- Experience in the electric energy sector is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of market operations within an ISO or RTO market is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated starting salary for this position ranges from $98,000 to $120,000 USD. This range is an estimate, and actual base pay may vary based on factors such as location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base compensation, Pattern Energy offers a bonus structure for full-time employees at all levels. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, voluntary benefits, family care benefits, an employee assistance program, paid time off, bonding leave, paid holidays, and a 401(k)/RRSP retirement savings plan with employer contributions, along with employee referral bonuses.
