Job Purpose

The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for managing revenue arrangements across various operational wind and solar projects. This includes overseeing the preparation of invoices, billing processes, and addressing any disputes related to invoicing. The role demands timely and accurate analytics and reporting, as well as the implementation of any new or revised accounting policies within the organization. Collaboration with Accounting Managers, Technical Accounting, and other accounting professionals in San Francisco and Houston, along with cross-functional teams such as Asset Management, Legal, Meteorology, and Power Marketing, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and review of revenue journal entries during the monthly closing process, along with reconciliations of all related accounts.
  • Manage the preparation and review of invoices for offtakers, including billing adjustments and dispute resolutions.
  • Conduct analytical assessments of revenue outcomes for quarterly and annual financial reporting.
  • Prepare documentation for PBC requests and respond to inquiries from auditing firms.
  • Ensure that revenue processes and controls comply with internal regulations.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Experience/Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in the preparation and auditing of financial statements, with a strong understanding of internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead projects or initiatives.
  • Experience in the electric energy sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with market operations of an ISO or RTO market is a plus.

The expected starting salary range for this position is $98,000 - $120,000 USD. This range is an estimate, and actual base pay may vary based on factors such as location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base compensation, Pattern Energy offers a bonus structure for full-time employees at all levels.
