Company Overview
Chord Energy is on the lookout for a skilled Revenue Accountant to manage various revenue-related tasks associated with its assets in North Dakota and Montana.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Processing and reviewing oil and gas revenues, including both accruals and actuals for operated and non-operated properties.
  • Handling prior period adjustments (PPAs) effectively.
  • Preparing account reconciliations and conducting thorough analyses.
  • Assisting with various team projects as required.

This role reports directly to the Revenue Accounting Manager and offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for remote work on designated days.

Essential Job Functions
The incumbent will be expected to:

  • Process and review revenues for both operated and non-operated properties.
  • Manage the processing and review of PPAs.
  • Prepare various account reconciliations and perform detailed analyses.
  • Contribute to special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • One to two years of experience in oil and gas accounting.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to enhance processes.
  • The capability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative team-oriented mindset.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Candidates must be able to:

  • Work in a standard office environment and utilize standard office equipment.
  • Maintain focus and attention to detail amidst interruptions.
  • Lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Read printed materials and a computer screen.
  • Communicate effectively in person and over the phone.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Enertia and knowledge of oil and gas revenue accounting specific to North Dakota and Montana are advantageous.
