The compensation package includes performance bonuses and long-term incentives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document oil and gas revenue for both operated and non-operated assets in Texas.
  • Conduct revenue accruals for both operating and non-operating wells.
  • Evaluate plant statements for accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate accounts receivable reconciliation reports and address outstanding balances monthly.
  • Compile general ledger (G/L) account reconciliation reports, ensuring balances are reconciled and cleared monthly.
  • Prepare gas balancing statements and pipeline reconciliation reports.
  • Analyze sales variance and provide explanations for significant sales changes for assigned properties on a monthly basis.
  • Establish and maintain all revenue cross-references.
  • Execute cash applications by purchaser each month.
  • Disburse royalty payments.
  • Possess knowledge of the Texas escheat process.
  • Understand Texas severance tax reporting requirements.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in oil and gas revenue accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of oil and gas accounting systems, along with bookkeeping for revenues.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in spreadsheet management and account reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) is required; familiarity with BOLO is preferred.
