Administrative Assistant

Cover a temporary family leave for approximately 12 weeks, with extensive training and onboarding in December.
Job Summary: The Solomon Schechter Day School Interim Office Administrator oversees daily school office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collect, input, and manage attendance records, discipline data, and student interactions
* Assist with nursing needs, answer phones, and communicate with parents, staff, and external parties
* Manage internal communication, greet visitors, and handle internal phone calls
* Collect, manage, and organize paperwork, assist with parent organization tasks, and maintain student files and mailings
* Coordinate substitute teacher check-ins, field trip requests, and other tasks as determined by the leadership team.
This role reports to the Executive Assistant to the Head of School.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree is required
* 5+ years of experience as an assistant to a high-level school administrator or corporate executive
* Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, dedicated to confidentiality, and a warm demeanor
* Familiarity with Google Drive and Veracross is a plus, but not required
* Ability to make quick decisions, take initiative, prioritize tasks, and have a passion for the school's mission and vision
