Job Description

At Pet Food Experts Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Senior Accountant and performing accounting operations for the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities and other related financial activities.
  • Support the accounting team on month end close procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
  • Process, reconcile credit card and code to proper account.
  • Establish and assign entries to proper accounts in General Ledger.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules.
  • Assist with sales tax reporting.
  • Assist with the year end audit.

Requirements:

  • Competent in general accounting and financial practices and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with ability to demonstrate attention to detail, multi-tasking and good recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, yet work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, using sound judgment.
  • Quick learner who can apply new job related information.
  • Computer proficient, Google Suite preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, or a BA in Business with emphasis in Accounting, required.
  • Minimum 2 years' professional experience in an Accounting or Finance position.
