Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Financial Accountant to contribute to our financial operations. The successful candidate will possess expertise in financial reconciliations, monthly closing processes, revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducts comprehensive cost accounting and related financial duties for the organization. Prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports. Oversees the maintenance of the general ledger. Executes bank reconciliations and ensures timely monthly closings. Reconciles various financial accounts, including cash disbursements, payroll, and customer accounts; oversees accounts receivable collections. Assists external auditors by providing necessary account information and documentation for annual audits. Completes tax filings with federal, state, and local agencies. Collaborates with software vendors to enhance accounting software systems; suggests improvements to optimize functionality. Keeps abreast of accepted accounting practices and standards. Supports accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as required. Undertakes additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Proficient knowledge of general financial and cost accounting principles. Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles and practices. Capability to accurately prepare tax documentation. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.

Educational Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline is mandatory. A minimum of three years of relevant experience is essential.
