Job Summary

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in various functions within SharkNinja, including preparing journal entries, summarizing results, general ledger analysis, and completing account reconciliations. This position will focus on revenue recognition, cost of goods sold, and inventory accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare general ledger entries, maintain records and files, and reconcile accounts
  • Validate deductions received from retailers
  • Assist in inventory control procedures
  • Learn and enhance current accounting procedures
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to resolve transactional issues
  • Act as liaison between Finance and other departments
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Support and maintain strong internal control policies and procedures
  • Support warehouse audits onsite across various locations
  • Identify and lead opportunities for process improvements
  • Provide accounting support to other business units for special projects and ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required, CPA preferred but not required
  • 1+ year of public or industry-specific accounting experience
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented with proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • High degree of business acumen and emotional intelligence
  • Team player with ability to effectively and efficiently work cross-functionally
