Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or a related field – 150 credit hours preferred
  • Desire to pursue CPA certification and build a career in public accounting

Technical Skills

  • Competent in preparing basic individual tax returns
  • Recognizes the significance of accuracy and efficiency in tax return preparation
  • Familiar with Fixed Asset Solutions, Advance Flow, and ACS
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in achieving objectives
  • Capable of preparing various entity tax returns (1120S, 1040, 1065)
  • Experience in conducting tax research assignments
  • Identifies specific areas of interest within the industry for tax specialization
  • Ability to guide team members and complete tasks with minimal oversight
  • Understanding of basic financial statements
  • Proficient in reconciling trial balances with source documents
  • Capable of creating depreciation schedules and understanding depreciation methods
  • Knowledge of payroll tax return filings, including 941, 940, W-2, and 1099s
  • Ability to reconcile payroll liabilities and prepare related tax filings
  • Competent in reconciling simple bank statements
  • Basic knowledge of QuickBooks (data entry, report preparation, etc.)
