The Senior Tax Advisory Manager has honed the competencies required for the managerial role and is progressively enhancing leadership capabilities while embracing additional responsibilities. This role is pivotal in supporting partners and managing directors in overseeing various operational areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Acting as a subject matter authority in the estate, gift, and trust domain
  • Exhibiting exceptional advanced technical expertise
  • Adhering to the guidelines set forth by professional and regulatory bodies, while educating staff on their implications
  • Continuously expanding industry knowledge and staying updated on sector developments; contributing to team growth by sharing insights
  • Identifying intricate technical challenges, drawing sound conclusions, and applying authoritative support for those conclusions
  • Engaging in client-focused planning as necessary
  • Effectively conveying technical information to clients, both verbally and in written form
  • Proficiently utilizing essential software and applications relevant to the discipline
  • Demonstrating excellence in client relations and business insight
  • Ensuring superior client service and overseeing comprehensive engagement activities
  • Assisting partners and managing directors in efficient billing and collections management
  • Properly managing risks and ensuring quality control measures are implemented across all engagement activities

QUALIFICATIONS WE SEEK

Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in estate, gift, and trust tax compliance and advisory services is preferred

Education

  • At least a Bachelor's degree is required
  • CPA certification is preferred or 5-8 years of relevant experience in estate, gift, and trust

Licensure / Certification

  • Must fulfill annual CPE credit requirements
  • Possession of additional industry or specialization certifications may be beneficial

Legal / Compliance

  • Completion of the Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards acknowledgment is mandatory
  • Government engagements necessitate the ability to secure a security clearance from the United States government
