Position Overview

The Tax & Advisory Trainee role is a seasonal opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional setting. This position will be conducted in an office environment.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 150 credit hours
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in preparing basic individual tax returns
  • Recognizes the significance of accuracy and efficiency in tax return completion
  • Familiarity with fundamental financial statements
  • Ability to identify source documents and their functions (K-1's, W-2's, 1099's)
  • Knowledge of Fixed Assets management, including asset entry and PPT return preparation
  • Capable of identifying necessary payroll tax return filings and their purposes
  • Understanding of various tax returns including 1040, 1041, 1065, and 1120
  • Awareness of AICPA rules, regulations, and professional conduct standards
  • Grasp of basic accounting principles and the relationship between debits and credits
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency in achieving objectives
  • Experience with accounting software through academic coursework
