As a Field Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in various engineering fields, including mechanical, electrical, and TCMS features.
  • Providing on-field deployment support to our engineering department.
  • Collecting and analyzing data from different systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Validating change requests and modifications to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Collaborating with internal customers, customers, consultants, vendors, and installation contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Providing field support for activities such as testing and commissioning, and internal tests.
  • Understanding technical issues for each fleet and sub-systems within the platforms under Alstom scope and managing their resolution.
  • Performing system test activities, including breakdown tests, operational tests, main line tests, and system level tests.
  • Conducting tests in compliance with company standards, project requirements, relevant test procedures, and safety standards.
  • Using test fixtures and following functional test procedures.
  • Identifying operational and technical problems and assisting in practical solutions and improvements to system design.
  • Accurately completing test documentation, data sheets, marking plans, expense reports, daily logs, and lost time and discrepancy reports.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Testing and commissioning experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience testing Signaling, Train Control Systems, or related Rolling Stock product and system interfaces.
  • Previous hands-on experience with test equipment, including VOMs, DMMs, voltage meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, digital multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Working knowledge of Rolling Stock products and system interfaces.
  • Proven railway safety awareness.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for problem identification and resolution.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
